The purpose of the Honorable’s visit to Rennes was to present the opportunities offered by Nigeria to all stakeholders in the livestock sector, including the development, transfer of know-how, and joint ventures to improve farmer education and income, enhance food self-sufficiency, and create local added value. The focus areas included genetics, animal feed, sanitary conditions, data collection, and improving the collection and distribution of raw materials and finished products.
A key highlight was a conference held in Rennes on Thursday, the 16th, in front of a mixed audience of French and Nigerian companies. Following the conference, there were numerous engagements with Hon. Abiola-Ajimobi.
Hon. Abiola-Ajimobi was then offered the opportunity to visit several businesses and meet with companies interested in Nigeria. These visits and meetings were organized by Promosalons (Mr. Akin Akinbola) and Jean-Pierre Lucas, head of the Geryon Association. The visits and contacts included:
